Prince George, B.C. - Prince George Cougars General Manager Todd Harkins announced this morning that the Prince George Cougars have acquired 20-year-old forward Luke Harrison (W. Kelowna, BC) from the Brandon Wheat Kings in exchange for a ninth round selection in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft.

Harrison (6'1", 204 pounds), a veteran of 196 career regular season games comes to the Cougars after spending a majority of his playing career with the Victoria Royals franchise (94 games) and the Kamloops Blazers (89 games). This season Harrison also dressed in seven games with the Spokane Chiefs and six games with the Wheat Kings. In 17 games this season (with Kamloops, Spokane and Brandon) he has tallied four goals. Throughout his career he has scored 21 goals, 13 assists and has notched 125 career penalty minutes. He also appeared in four playoff games with the Victoria Royals in 2012. He was originally selected by the Chilliwack Bruins in the third round of the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft and in 2011 he helped Team BC to a Gold Medal at the Canada Winter Games in Halifax, NS.

"We are very familiar with Luke and the style of game he plays and he's going to be a welcomed addition to our lineup and our dressing room," said Cougars General Manager, Todd Harkins. "He brings experience, leadership, size and speed to our forward corps and we're excited to get him to Prince George so that he can help contribute to our team's success."

The addition of Harrison moves the Cougars roster to 25 players: 14 forwards, nine defencemen and two goaltenders.
