Prince George Cougars News Release
With the 64th overall selection in the 2004 CHL Import Draft, the Prince George Cougars have selected defenseman Adam Lukacovic (“Luca-CHO-Vich”) from the Czech Republic. Adam, born April 16, 1986, suited up for Sparta last season with his 190lbs and 6’0” frame. Lukacovic was also a member of the U-18 Czech Republic team that competed in the IIHF World Championships. In that tourney, he played 7 games, recording 2 assists for 2 points, a +7 rating, while spending 6 minutes in the penalty box.
Siarhei Kolasau, who was selected previously by the “Cats”, also competed at IIHF U-18 World Championships for his native Belarus. In 6 games played, the newly acquired Cougar tallied 1 goal (PP), established a -4 rating, while gathering 24 penalty minutes.
