CornBelters Announce Release of the 2017 Frontier League Schedule

NORMAL, Ill. - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, announce the release of the 2017 season schedule. With a total of 96 regular season games, the CornBelters will play 48 at home and 48 on the road.
The CornBelters open their eighth season on the road with a three game series against The River City Rascals on Friday, May 12th before heading home for the home opener against The Gateway Grizzlies on Tuesday, May 16th.
2016 was a memorable year for the young Belter squad. Boasting six All-Star players in, Aaron Dudley, Santiago Chirino, Dylan Kelly, Francisco Carrillo, Michael Schweiss and Nolan Meadows, who lead the league and broke a franchise record with 27 Home Runs. The talented team narrowly missed out on a consecutive playoff appearance and are still in search of their first title.
As the front office staff and players gear up for the 2017 season, the CornBelters are looking forward to creating new, fun and exciting events and promotions for all fans to enjoy. Be on the lookout for the 2017 promotions and special events calendar which will be released in March. A special thank you to all our season ticket holders, host families and sponsors for making last summer one full of memories and fun. We look forward to having you all back at the ballpark on May 16th!
