Copperheads Take to the Town

KATY, TX - (February, 23rd 2006) Catch the Katy Copperheads around town this weekend! Katy's own professional indoor football team can be seen in and around Katy this weekend starting with the Katy Rodeo Parade and ending at Bass Pro Shop.
"We are excited to get more involved in such an active community and our involvement with the Katy Rodeo is a great way to kickoff our season," says Coach Bryan Blake.
The Katy Copperheads Dance Team, the Lady Copperheads, will be in attendance for the Parade, which is to take place on Saturday, February 25 at 9:30am. The parade route runs from the west gate of Rhodes Stadium, turns south on Katyland Dr. and then west on Highway 90, ending up at Katy High School.
"Don't be surprised if you catch some of our Katy Copperheads players on horses along the parade route," says Coach Blake. "The Katy Rodeo comes at a great time for us with our season kicking off in two weeks."
If you miss the parade on Saturday, you won't miss the Copperheads, they will also be in appearance at Bass Pro Shop for the Spring Fishing Classic. Get your Katy Copperheads merchandise and season tickets this weekend at Bass Pro Shop while enjoying free seminars on fishing in Texas and taking advantage of their seasonal sales.

The Katy Copperheads will play a 14 game schedule in 2006 consisting of seven home and seven away games. The home games will be played in the Leonard E. Merrell Center on the following dates:
- Saturday, March 11 vs. Beaumont
- Saturday, March 18 vs. St. Louis
- Saturday, April 8 vs. Montgomery
- Saturday, April 22 vs. Hammond
- Sunday, April 30 vs. Bozeman
- Friday, June 9 vs. Arkansas
- Saturday, June 24 vs. Monroe
- Monday, July 10 vs. TBA *
