Condors In The Community: Players Assist In Youth Hockey Practices

This Week In Condorstown:

Tuesday, Feb. 16 Fresh off of his shutout in his Condors debut, G Tyler Sims will be a featured guest on ESPN Radio 1230's"Home Turf with Corey Costelloe" at 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 17

F Stephane Goulet, F Matt McCue, D Chris Allen and D Chris Brooks will visit Valley Elementary School, located on 2300 E. Brundage Lane, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. to get their Condors fundraiser started. The players will greet the kids and answer their questions.

D Evan Stoflet and D Ray Eichenlaub will be at their practice facility, the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center, located at 1325 Q Street, to help out the Dragons Bantam youth team practice from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Eichenlaub is a veteran of practicing with the kids, having done so earlier in the season with the Dragons Peewee team.

Thursday, Feb. 18

The Condors Coach's Show, hosted by the Voice of the Condors Kevin Bartl, will air live at Tailgaters from 5-6 p.m on ESPN Radio 1230. The show will include Head Coach Marty Raymond and F Mathieu Aubin.

Later Thursday evening, F Andrew Ianiero will help the Dragons Midget team with their practice at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center from 7:45-8:45 p.m. Ianiero will join the team's head coach, former Condors F Mike Hofstrand on the ice.

Friday, Feb. 19

The Condors host the Stockton Thunder at 7 p.m. for Trading Card Giveaway #4 of 5, presented by Mercy Hospitals. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a strip of trading cards, featuring D Sasha Pokulok, D Mark Mitera, RW Ryan Menei, D Evan Stoflet and LW Ryan Donally. In honor of Mercy Hospitals 100th birthday, tickets to this game are on sale for just 100 cents until 2 p.m. on Friday, or until those tickets are sold out. Visit the Rabobank Arena Box Office for this steal of a deal before it's too late!

Saturday, Feb. 20

The Condors finish off their weekend series against the Thunder at 7 p.m. for Toilet Plunger Giveaway, presented by 106.1 KRAB Radio and Cal Water. The first 2,000 households will receive these specially designed toilet plungers, featuring "Condorstown" written on the handle and a Stockton Thunder logo on the underneath.

Tip-A-Condor is Approaching

The 10th Annual Tip-A-Condor takes places on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at Rabobank Arena, beginning at 5:30 p.m. This annual charity event with proceeds benefiting the Kern County Shrine Club, includes the Condors players acting as your servers for the evening. Also, watch your favorite players get on stage for some entertaining Karaoke, Condors style. Tickets to the event are $25 and can be purchased at the Rabobank Arena box office.

Valentine's Day Jersey Raffle and Auction a Success! On Saturday, the Condors hosted Valentine's Day Jerseys Off of Our Backs Jersey Auction and Raffle, presented by Bright House Networks, 96.5 Max FM and McDonald's. The auction brought in $20,550, including the team-high G Timo Pielmeier jersey for $2,200, for the Ronald McDonald House. F Andrew Ianiero's jersey went for $1,800, raising his career total to a Condors individual high of $27,450.

Including past jersey auctions benefiting this charity, $99,475 have been donated to Ronald McDonald House alone. In Condors history, the team has raised more than $686,000 for local charities through various Jersey Off Our Backs Raffle & Auctions.
