Condors Alumni vs. West Coast Alumni Roster Announced

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, have announced the rosters for the Condors Alumni vs. West Coast All-Star Alumni Game, part of the Condors Fighting Cancer Hockey-Thon. The Alumni Game, which will take place at Rabobank Arena on Sunday, Feb. 22 at noon, will feature Condors players pitted against players from three former West Coast rivals including the Fresno Falcons, Long Beach Ice Dogs and San Diego Gulls. Doors open at 11:45 a.m.

In the Hockey-Thon's four-year history, over $162,000 has been raised for Links for Life, a local breast cancer resource center. The event covers 41 hours and includes over one hundred hockey players, two Bakersfield Condors games, dozens of youth and adult league contests and is capped off by the Alumni Game. This year's rosters are listed below, with the West Coast players' former teams indicated next to their names.

As part of the Hockey-Thon fundraiser, each alumni team also features a local honorary captain, with Markie Serda (Condors) and Chris Fleming (WC All-Stars) as the winning bidders.

Following the Alumni Game, the game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting Links for Life. Tickets to the Condors game against the Victoria Salmon Kings at 2 p.m. on Sunday also serve as admission to the Alumni Game.

Notes from The Nest: On Saturday, Feb. 21, Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber from Veggie Tales will be at The Nest to meet fans and pose for pictures in the Condors Photo Booth. Also, NFL quarterback and Bakersfield native David Carr will be present, dropping the ceremonial first puck and delivering a motivational speech following the game on how his faith has helped him achieve success, followed by a Q&A period, sponsored by Pirate 93.1 and DMW Industries Inc.

Individual game tickets are on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office. Tickets may also be purchased by phone at 322-2525, online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com, or at any Ticketmaster location. The Rabobank Arena Box Office will be open Monday - Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sunday starting at 10 am.
