Come Celebrate George Kell At Dickey-Stephens Park

George Kell impacted millions of people throughout his Hall of Fame career as a third baseman in the American League and as a longtime Detroit Tigers broadcaster. Thousands of them will gather at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock before Saturday's Arkansas Travelers game to thank Mr. Kell and celebrate his career. He'll be joined by two of his best friends; Little Rock's own Brooks Robinson and "Mr. Tiger" Al Kaline to speak to fans during a pre-game on-field ceremony.

The first 2,000 adults to the ballpark get a free George Kell Bobblehead Doll courtesy of George Kell Motors, Metropolitan National Bank and KATV.

The pre-game ceremony, hosted by Travs broadcaster Phil Elson, will begin at 6:45 p.m. Mr. Kell, Mr. Kaline and Mr. Robinson will be available for autographs for one hour beginning at 7:15.

First pitch for Saturday night's Travs vs. Midland RockHounds game is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. The gates at Dickey-Stephens Park will open at 6:10 p.m.
