Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release
NASHVILLE, TENN.-Ivan De Jesus and Tyler Heineman each had two-hit games, but the Nashville Sounds took game two of Sunday's doubleheader, 2-1, at First Tennessee Park.
Colorado Springs got on the board in the third inning. De Jesus recorded his third RBI of the doubleheader with a line-drive single to right field, scoring Heineman and tying the score at one.
Michael Blazek turned in a stellar outing on the mound. Despite getting a no-decision, the righty retired 12 in a row while striking out seven Sounds after allowing a first-inning run. David Goforth entered in the sixth inning, forcing Joey Wendle to ground out to strand a pair of Nashville runners.
The Sky Sox and Sounds continue their series Memorial Day for a Monday matinee at 11:05 a.m. MT. LHP Josh Hader (3-4, 5.81) takes the hill against Nashville right-hander Paul Blackburn (3-4, 3.33), whom the Sky Sox defeated April 15 in Nashville.
