Coleman Signs with AFL's Power

MARION, OH- The Marion Blue Racers, Central Ohio's ONLY Professional Football Team, is proud to announce that CEO/GM LaMonte Coleman has came to an agreement with the AFL's Pittsburgh Power to take a position within their coaching staff during the 2012 season. Coleman is a Pittsburgh, PA native who was on the Super Bowl XXX Pittsburgh Steelers team.
LaMonte Coleman has played for various teams in the Arena and Indoor leagues. In 2001, Coleman was the Offensive Most Valuable Player for the National Indoor Football League while playing running back for the Johnstown J-Dogs. Coleman rushed for over 1,000 yards and scored 38 times during his MVP season. Notably, he was the starting fullback/linebacker for the Arena Football 2, Wilkes Barre-Scranton Pioneers who were owned by Hall Of Famer Johnny Unitas in 2002.
Mr. Coleman was quoted as saying, "I am thankful for this opportunity that Coach Siegfried, Mr. Lynn Swann and the Pittsburgh Power organization has offered me and I plan to bring my best every day as I help lead two football teams to championships. Between the Marion Blue Racers and Pittsburgh Power, I have a unique opportunity that many people will never have the joy to be a part of. Being a part of two organizations that have successful administration and staff is something that I have always dreamed about and will help me to further my abilities not only as an Owner/GM, but also as a Coach. The Pittsburgh Power are an upstanding organization that will help my Blue Racers to see the type of professionalism that is needed to move on to the next level."
