Coaches Tree Rollins and Stephanie Ready Announce Groove Roster

Greenville, SC – The Greenville Groove coaches announced their regular season roster on Tuesday, November 12, 2002 after a ten-day training camp. The team is comprised of recent college graduates, former CBA and USBL players, former international players, and two Groove veterans from the 2001-2002 National Basketball Development League (NBDL) Championship Team.

The ten-man roster was set after evaluating each of the 25 players in the Groove training camp, held November 3rd – November 12th. On Wednesday, November 6, the coaches set a 15-man team. The 15-man team played two preseason games, going 1-1.

The roster set today features 10-players from the 15 players selected on November 6th.

“Today was a day of extremely tough decisions,” said Groove Head Coach Tree Rollins. “Coach Ready and I deliberated many hours in order to choose the best ten players for the Greenville Groove. I am looking forward to the start of the season on Friday night and seeing our team in action.”

The Greenville Groove is set to begin their 2002-2003 season by playing host to the Columbus Riverdragons on Friday, November 15 at the BI-LO Center. The game will begin at 7:00 pm. Groove season passes are now available. Call 864.241.3800 for more information or visit www.greenvillegroove.com.
