Manchester Monarchs News Release

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have activated left wing Richard Clune off of the injured reserve list and have assigned him to the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Clune, 21, has not played in a game for the Kings this season. He suffered a groin injury during a preseason game on September 26 and was placed on the injured reserve list on September 30 (retroactive to September 26).

The 5-foot-10, 198-pound native of Toronto played in 35 games with the Monarchs during the 2008-09 season and recorded nine points (3-69) and 87 penalty minutes.

The Monarchs travel to the Norfolk Scope on Friday, October 9 to take on the Norfolk Admirals at 7:15 p.m. Manchester's Home Opener is set for Saturday, October 17 at 7:00 p.m. versus the Portland Pirates at the Verizon Wireless Arena. Make some noise at the Monarchs Home Opener by bringing a box of macaroni and cheese to shake during the game and then donate to the New Hampshire Food Bank. The first 5,000 fans to the Monarchs Home Opener will receive a magnetic schedule for the 2009-10 season. Catch all of the play-by-play action of Monarchs hockey with Ken Cail on the Monarchs Radio Network WGAM 900/1250 AM and at www.manchestermonarchs.com.
