Chrismon and Cordero Allow No Hits at All-Star Game

Ottawa, ON - Ottawa Champions pitchers combined for two hitless innings at the 2016 Can-Am League/American Association all-star game.
With all eyes of independent baseball on CHS Field in St. Paul, Minnesota, Austin Chrismon and Daniel Cordero shut down Team North's offence, getting two straight one-two-three innings for Team South.
Team North jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, before Chrismon and Cordero would calm down the offence in the second and third innings respectively.
Can-Am League all-stars played with the American Association's south division, while the north and central divisions made up Team North.
At the time of release, North led South 5-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Cordero, Chrismon and the rest of the Champions will resume play on Thursday night in Ottawa, with the Champions hosting the New Jersey Jackals at RCGT Park in the first game of a four-game series.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
