Chris Williams Named CFL All-Star

Hamilton - Chris Williams of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats has been named a Canadian Football League All-Star for his performance as a kick returner in 2012.
Williams returned 78 punts for 1,117 yards and five touchdowns while also taking back five missed field goals for 256 yards and one touchdown, setting a CFL single-season record with six kick return touchdowns.
This season, Williams earned the CFL's Most Outstanding Special Teams Player award and East All-Star status as both a receiver and a kick returner.
The All-Stars were selected by fans, Football Reporters of Canada (FRC) and CFL head coaches.
In total, the voting panel consisted of 57 voters, plus hundreds of thousands of fans from across the country. Fans were given the opportunity to have their voice heard through the CFL All-Star Balloting Program presented by The Vancouver Province, Vancouver Sun, Calgary Herald, Edmonton Journal, Leader-Post, Winnipeg Free Press, National Post, Ottawa Citizen and the Montreal Gazette.
