Chris Johnson Selected to 2010-11 Gatorade All-NBA Development League First Team

Bismarck, N.D. (April 13, 2011) - The Dakota Wizards announced today that center Chris Johnson (6-11 210, LSU) has been selected to the All-NBA Development League First Team, as voted on by the league head coaches.

Johnson, the only player in the NBA Development League to receive three GATORADE Call-Ups this season, averaged 16.2 points, 9.2 rebounds and 2.8 blocks in 35 games (34 starts). He was first called up by the Trail Blazers on Jan.24 and appeared in two games averaging 2.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 8.0 minutes. Johnson was then called up by the Boston Celtics on Feb. 24 and appeared in four games with Boston averaging 1.5 points and 1.3 rebounds in 8.2 minutes of action. The 6-11center from LSU signed with the Portland Trail Blazers on March 14th for his third GATORADE Call-Up of the season. Johnson has appeared in nine games with the Trail Blazers this season averaging 2.1 points and 1.6 rebounds in 7.3 minutes of action.

Johnson is joined on the first team by Trey Johnson of Bakersfield, Curtis Stinson of Iowa, Ivan Johnson from Erie and Joe Alexander from the Texas Legends.
