November 25, 2013 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Club Deportivo Chivas USA News Release

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, Nov. 25, 2013) - Chivas USA, in conjunction with Major League Soccer, announced today their 2014 regular season schedule, in which the Red-and-White will open and conclude their participation in the regular tournament at home at the StubHub Center. Chivas will host the Chicago Fire in the season opener on Mar. 9 and close out the regular season against in-state rival the San Jose Earthquakes on Oct. 26.

MLS will once again take a two-week break between June 12-24 - as it did in 2010 during the FIFA World Cup in South Africa - during Group Stage play in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. A day before the start of this break, Chivas USA will host Seattle Sounders FC. The Goats will then resume their participation at home against Real Salt Lake on June 28.

The SuperClásico between the Red-and-White and their cross-hall rival the LA Galaxy will once again be the highlight of the schedule, as Chivas will host the Galaxy in two of the three meetings. The first leg of the derby is scheduled for April 6, which will be part of the League's rivalry weekend. The SuperClásico will return on June 8 with Chivas as the away side and have its final date on Aug. 31 with Chivas as the host.

Chivas USA will once again have games broadcasted live on national TV on Unimás and Univision Deportes Network. In addition to the inaugural match against the Fire and the three SuperClásicos, the Rojiblancos will have a total of nine games televised on Univision's networks.

All non-nationally televised games will be broadcast locally and/or via subscription on Direct Kick and MLS Live, the digital streaming package for MLSsoccer.com, mobile devices and tablets.
