El Paso Chihuahuas News Release

The El Paso Chihuahuas broke a two-game losing skid with a convincing 12-1 victory at Smith's Ballpark in Salt Lake Saturday. Jabari Blash went 2-for-4 with two early doubles and three RBIs, his second multi-double game of the road trip.

Leading 4-1 in the bottom of the eighth, the Chihuahuas broke the game open with a 10-batter rally spread across two different Bees' pitchers. All five runs in the inning came with two outs on a three-run double by Hector Sanchez and a two-run single by newcomer Luis Urias. Sanchez has now accumulated 13 RBIs in 11 games with the Chihuahuas.

Keith Hessler pitched two scoreless relief innings to get the win and Derek Eitel tossed the final three frames to earn his first save of the season. Daniel McCutchen threw four scoreless innings to start the game and now has allowed only five earned runs in 18 innings versus Salt Lake this season.
