El Paso Chihuahuas News Release

The El Paso Chihuahuas trailed Round Rock by one run in the bottom of the ninth inning with two outs, two strikes and no baserunners before coming back to beat the Express 4-3. Nick Noonan doubled and Manuel Margot singled him home to tie the game. After Margot stole second base, Yangervis Solarte hit a ground ball single past third base to end it. The final two-run, three-hit sequence took only six pitches.

Thursday was the Chihuahuas' third walk-off win in their last five games and the fourth of the season. The Chihuahuas have won six consecutive games and nine of their last 11.

Solarte went 2-for-4 with a triple, a walk and two RBIs in his first game with El Paso down from San Diego on a Major League rehab assignment. Alex Dickerson went 2-for-4 to extend his hitting streak to a club record 17 games. Dickerson has reached base in 12 of his last 15 plate appearances.

The Chihuahuas collected 10 hits Thursday; the 18th consecutive game El Paso had nine hits or more.
