Chiefs announce training camp plans

Johnstown Chiefs News Release
Johnstown, PA (October 6, 2005) - The Johnstown Chiefs announced today that the team will open training camp this Sunday, October 9th at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena. The team's first on-ice workout will run from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. All practices are free and open to the public. A full schedule with practice times will be released on Sunday.
The Chiefs also announced today, that they will be playing an intra-squad scrimmage at the War Memorial on Wednesday, October 12th at 6:30 p.m. Admission will be a minimum of $5 with all proceeds going to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief fund.
Thursday, October 13th, the Chiefs will play a "home" pre-season game in Greensburg, PA at the Kirk Nevin Ice Arena against the Wheeling Nailers at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are general admission and just $10. Tickets will be available at the door or at the Chiefs office during normal business hours. All proceeds from the pre-season game will go to the Westmoreland Youth Hockey Association.
Saturday, October 15th, the Chiefs will play their final pre-season game when they travel to Wheeling for a 7:30 p.m. face-off.
The 2005-2006 season presented by First National Bank begins on Saturday October 22nd, when the Chiefs host the Reading Royals at 7:30 p.m. Season tickets and sponsorships for the upcoming season are still available by calling the Chiefs office at (814) 539-1799 or 1-800-SLAPSHOT.
