CAPTAIN AMERICA AND SPIDER-MAN WANT TO ENJOY SPRING BREAK WITH YOU
The Wolves host games at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at Allstate Arena as the team continues to fight for a Calder Cup playoff berth. Spring Break Week starts with a visit from the Rockford IceHogs on Wednesday before the Lake Erie Monsters come to town on Friday and Saturday. The latter game is Marvel Superhero Night as the Wolves' special pregame event features the chance to meet Spider-Man and Captain America. IT'S A MILESTONE FOR THE ILLINOIS LOTTERY CUP
When Chicago takes on Rockford for the final time this season in Wednesday's Illinois Lottery Cup clash at Allstate Arena, it will mark the 100th meeting all-time between the teams. The Wolves have won the last two encounters against their arch-rivals and are 4-1-0-0 versus the IceHogs at home this season.

Prior to Wednesday's game, the Wolves host a Business of Sports Discussion Panel from 5 to 6:45 p.m. at the Allstate Arena's Skyline Room. The panel provides those persons interested in working in sports with an opportunity to hear from seasoned professionals at various sports teams. Attendees will have a chance to ask questions and network afterward. Admission is free with the purchase of a ticket to that night's game vs. Rockford. WOLVES HEADLINERS
- EVAN TRUPP: Recorded points in all three games last week and factored in both goals in Chicago's 2-1 victory over Iowa on March 26 ... TRUPP scored his seventh goal of the season and assisted on the game-winner Saturday afternoon as the Wolves gave up 30 more shots to their opponent (46-16) ... the Anchorage, Alaska native has averaged nearly a point per game over his last eight contests (0.86).
- JEREMY WELSH: Saw his three-game goal-scoring streak snapped on Saturday ... WELSH, who netted the Wolves' first goal in each of those three contests, moved into a third-place tie in team goal-scoring (15) ... the power forward also owns 5 points (3G, 2A) in his last 4 games.
- HUBERT LABRIE: Recently acquired defenseman has contributed at both ends of the ice for the Wolves ... LABRIE, who saw time at left wing last week, chipped in with 2 assists in Saturday's road win after scoring the game-tying goal that forced overtime on Friday night ... the 24-year-old LABRIE arrived in Chicago by way of San Antonio in a March 5 trade.
- BRYCE GERVAIS: Signed to an amateur tryout contract (ATO) last week, the rookie forward from Minnesota State made an immediate impact as Chicago earned 4 points over the weekend ... GERVAIS recorded an assist in his professional debut Friday, then followed up with the game-winning goal less than 24 hours later.
WOLF TRACKS
- The Wolves begin this week trailing Charlotte by 7 points for fifth place in the Central Division race. To qualify for the postseason, the Wolves need to surpass the Checkers in the standings and post a better winning percentage than the fourth-pace team from the Pacific Division. Such a scenario would allow the Wolves to secure the Western Conference's "crossover" berth for the Calder Cup Playoffs.
- The Wolves stand 20-5-2-0 (.778) this season when scoring the game's first goal.
- PHEONIX COPLEY made a Wolves season-high 45 saves Saturday afternoon in Des Moines. The effort marked the most saves by a Chicago netminder since April 29, 2015, when JORDAN BINNINGTON stopped 50 shots in a Game 3 overtime loss at Utica.
WOLVES REWIND (2-1-0-0)
Saturday, March 26 Chicago 2, (at) Iowa 1
- PHEONIX COPLEY made a career-high 45 saves to lead Chicago to the win at Wells Fargo Arena. The win completed a weekend sweep and was the 11th straight for the Wolves in Iowa's building.
- EVAN TRUPP scored his seventh goal of the season while BRYCE GERVAIS provided the game-winner.
- COPLEY lost his shutout bid with 1:35 left in regulation.
Friday, March 25 Chicago 3, (at) Iowa 2
- The Wolves won their 10th game in a row on Wells Fargo Arena's ice as defenseman ANDRE BENOIT's power-play goal with 1:32 left capped Chicago's third-period rally.
- JEREMY WELSH and HUBERT LABRIE also scored in the third period as each goal erased a 1-goal Iowa lead.
- JORDAN BINNINGTON stopped 21 of 23 shots to earn the win.
Wednesday, March 23 Charlotte 7, (at) Chicago 3
- Charlotte broke a 2-2 tie with 4 straight goals to record a 7-3 victory over Chicago at Allstate Arena.
- JEREMY WELSH, JORDAN CARON and TY RATTIE lit the lamp for the Wolves, who lost for the first time at home against the Checkers.
- JORDAN BINNINGTON made 14 saves before giving way to PHEONIX COPLEY, who finished with 6 stops.
