Chicago Sky Sign Shayla Cooper

CHICAGO - The Chicago Sky have signed Shayla Cooper, a 6'2 forward, from The Ohio State University. Cooper was selected by the Connecticut Sun with the first pick of the second round in the 2017 WNBA Draft (No.13 overall) and was later signed to a training camp contract with the Sky on April 29.

Cooper played in 90 games at Ohio State and was the 33rd player in Ohio State history to record 1,000 career points. She finished her career with 1,070 points. Cooper had 26 career double-doubles and held career averages of 11.6 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. The two-time second team All-Big Ten performer transferred to Ohio State after playing the first two games of the 2013-14 season at Georgetown.
