Checkers Help One Of Their Youngest Fans

Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers will host a guest bartending event on Saturday, Jan. 12 to benefit the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation (UCP) and Brady Dieffenbach, the one-year-old son of long-time season ticket holders Bobby and Kim Dieffenbach.

Players will work as guest bartenders at Dilworth Neighborhood Grill located at 911 E. Moorehead Street in Charlotte, N.C. All tips raised from this event will go to benefit UCP and Brady. The event will begin at 8 p.m.

The Checkers are in their 15th season of play as a member of the ECHL. Their next home game takes place on Jan. 10 against the Pensacola Ice Pilots. In the team's 14-year history, the Checkers have made the playoffs 10 times including three consecutive playoff appearances to date. The Checkers are in their third season of play at St. Lawrence Homes Home Ice at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. Season tickets are on sale now with full-season packages starting at just $175.
