Hickory Crawdads News Release
HICKORY, NC - The Hickory Crawdads, South Atlantic League affiliate of the Texas Rangers, have announced the launching of the new-and-improved Hickorycrawdads.com! The official site of the Crawdads remains at the same URL, but features a brand-new look and numerous added elements.
The new website design is focused more on an image-based style, as opposed to text-based information, enhancing it's ease of navigation for fans. Also remaining easy to navigate is the Crawdads Team Store, accessible in the top navigation bar.
The online tickets system will have a familiar look to fans, as it remains the same user-friendly layout as in the past. Ordering online is the quickest and most convenient way of getting your 'Dads tickets, and you can even print them at home to avoid lines entirely!
The new Hickorycrawdads.com also features multiple social media widgets in the homepage layout. Prominently displayed on the right side of the homepage is a live-updating Twitter window, linked directly to the 'Dads official twitter page (@HickoryCrawdads). Also, a bit further down the page is the Crawdads Facebook Fan Page center, connecting you directly to the 'Dads Fan Page and even showing you which of your friends Like the 'Dads page!
Speaking of widgets, you can even find out exactly what the weather is like at the ballpark by scrolling over "L.P. Frans Stadium" in the top navigation bar! Just click on the "Weather" image, and it will take you directly to the weather widget, which will hopefully have better news than it does today!
It just wouldn't be Hickorycrawdads.com if we didn't show off the affiliation with the Rangers, too! Not only are Texas Rangers headlines updated live on the left-bottom of the homepage, but the actual site design also features SS Jurickson Profar (2011 SAL MVP with the 'Dads and baseball's current top prospect) and OF Zach Cone (last season's team home run leader and former 1st-round pick).
With links to the 'Dads Community Photos album and the Front Office Blogs site, both located in the Hickory Crawdads Features section on the homepage, the Crawdads commitment to the community and fan-base not only remains a focus of the organization as a whole, but also of the redesigned website.
