Chattanooga defeats Jaxx 3-1

Jackson, TN (August 31st)- Chattanooga got a complete game from right-hander Josh Hall as the Lookouts sent the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx to their ninth straight loss, defeating the Diamond Jaxx 3-1 at Pringles Park.

Hall (9-6), who twirled his first complete game of the season, allowed just five hits as he raised his record to 3-0 for the season against the Diamond Jaxx. Hall out-dueled Sean Gallagher (7-5), who allowed two runs on five hits over seven innings of work. Gallagher struck out nine.

Paul Janish had two hits and a RBI in his Southern League debut. Hall also contributed at the plate with two hits while Jeff Bannon homered to lead the Lookouts offense.

Jake Fox drove in the lone Diamond Jaxx run in the ninth inning. Aron Weston, who scored the run, had two of the Jaxx five hits.

Game two of the five game series takes place on Friday night at 7:05 CDT. Lefty Chris Shaver (7-9 2.95) gets the start for the Diamond Jaxx. Chattanooga will counter with lefty Tyler Pelland (8-5 4.17).
