Charlotte Native Added to PCL All-Star Roster

(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- Reno Aces shortstop Jack Reinheimer, a native of Charlotte, NC, has been added to the 2016 Pacific Coast League All-Star team. A product of Ardrey Kell High School, Reinheimer is hitting .286 (94-for-329) this season and is tied for third in the PCL in at-bats with 329. He replaces Colorado Springs shortstop Orlando Arcia. With today's changes, the PCL roster currently consists of 26 players. The 2016 Sonic Automotive Triple-A All-Star Game presented by Gildan takes place at BB&T Ballpark in Uptown Charlotte on Wednesday, July 13th.

In 2010, Reinheimer became the first player ever drafted out of Ardrey Kell High School when he was selected in the 31st round of the MLB First Year Amateur Player Draft by the Atlanta Braves. Three years later, Reinheimer, was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the fifth round of the 2013 MLB First Year Amateur Player Draft out of East Carolina University (ECU). After parts of three seasons in the Mariners organization, Reinheimer was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks organization as part of the deal that brought Mark Trumbo to Seattle (June 3, 2015).

Overall this season, the 23-year-old is hitting .286 (94-for-329) with 50 runs scored, 23 doubles, four triples, two home runs, 36 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases with the Aces. He entered this season ranked by Baseball America as the 12th best prospect in the Arizona organization.
