Center David Gilbert Signed To An ATO

Rockford, Ill. - Center David Gilbert (JHIL-behr) has signed an amateur try-out agreement with the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League, Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Thursday.

The Chateauguay, Quebec native split his third season in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League between the Quebec Remparts and the Acadie-Bathurst Titan. He recorded 24 goals and 24 assists in 62 games.

In 157 career QMJHL games between Quebec and Acadie-Bathurst (2007-10), the centerman has tallied 42 goals and 63 assists.

He was the No. 209 overall (round 7) pick by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2009 National Hockey League Entry Draft.

Next Home Game: Friday, April 2 vs. Lake Erie Monsters. The game starts at 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs open up their final home weekend of the 2009-10 regular season. The first 1,500 kids 14 and under will pick up an IceHogs Youth Hockey Stick courtesy of McDonalds and 97ZOK. Also, the first 1,500 fans to the game will receive a 2009-10 IceHogs Team Photo.
