Captains End First Half of Season with Six-Game Home Stand

(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, will begin a six-game home stand on Tuesday as the South Bend Silver Hawks (Diamondbacks) and the Dayton Dragons (Reds) visit Classic Park to wrap up the first half of the season.

The home stand begins on Tuesday with the first of four Bark in the Park Nights, presented by Home Savings. Dog owners can bring their dog to the park when they purchase a $5 pooch pass. A portion of the proceeds from the pooch passes will benefit local dog charities. Dog owners can purchase their tickets for a special $7 discounted price. Game time is 7:00 PM.

Wednesday is a special 11:00 AM game and many area day-camps will be in attendance.

Thursday is Thirsty Thursday, presented by ESPN 850 WKNR and will feature a .25-cent beer Happy Hour for one hour before game time and half-price draft beer and fountain soda until 9 PM. Thursday is also be Date Night, presented by Fisher's Jewelers at Shoregate, which gives couples the opportunity to purchase two tickets to The Officer's Club Suite and two meal vouchers, a $56 value, for only $30. Game time is 7:00 PM.

Friday's game is a Fireworks Friday Night presented by State Farm Insurance Agent Kevin Kilfoyle and 92.3 FM, The Fan. Fans will be treated to a post-game fireworks extravaganza. Game time is 7:00 PM.

Chardon shooting victim Nick Walczak will be in attendance and will throw out a ceremonial first pitch on Friday. Walczak is recovering from four gun shot wounds and is paralyzed from the chest down. The Chardon cheerleaders will be on hand as well.

Saturday is a Fireworks Saturday Night presented by Monreal Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Fans will be treated to a post-game fireworks extravaganza and it is Ladies Night presented by Malibu Rum, featuring Malibu Rum drink specials for the ladies.

Saturday will be Pink the Park Night. $2 from each pre-sale ticket will be donated to ACS Making Strides. Fans can order tickets on-line using the promo code Pink. Survivors will take the field with the team prior to the game.

Saturday is also Bike night and there will a pre-game motorcycle rally in the Lake Health Plaza beginning at 5:30 PM. Prior to the game, the first 150 bikes will be able to participate in an on field parade.

It will be Hungarian Heritage night on Saturday night and traditional Hungarian food will be served and Hungarian music will be played. Game time is 7:00 PM.

Sunday is a Family Fun Day and will feature a pre-game player autograph session, expanded in-stadium entertainment and activities, an enhanced Kids' Zone area with new inflatables including a new speed pitch and the opportunity for kids to run the bases after the game.

Sunday is also Father's Day and the first 1,000 Dads/Adults will receive a sleeve of Captains logo baseballs presented by Lake Health. There is a special ticket package for Dads kids to play catch on the field prior to the game. Game time is 1:00 PM.

The home stand concludes on Monday at 7:00 PM with Buck Night, presented by PNC, featuring $1 Five Star Brand Hot Dogs, chips, French fries, popcorn, soda and beer. Also, fans receive a $1 discount on their tickets or $2 off their tickets if they use a PNC Bank debit or credit card.
