Here are three storylines for the title-clinching game.
FOR ALL THE MARBLES
After a first leg that was decided by the narrowest of margins, a Sebastian Giovinco goal off a fortuitous bounce nonetheless, Whitecaps FC and Toronto FC tussle anew tonight with all to play for. For the 'Caps to clinch the championship, they will have to win by at least two goals.
They can also force the series into extra time with a 1-0 win.
Last season, the 'Caps came up with a convincing 2-0 win over Montreal Impact in the second leg of the final to claim their first-ever Voyageurs Cup. It was the highlight of the season - and something they'd love to replicate tonight.
GOALKEEPER QUESTION
Head coach Carl Robinson has gotten steady goalkeeping from Italian Paolo Tornaghi in this year's Canadian Championship, highlighted by a six-save clean sheet performance in the come-from-behind decisive leg win over Ottawa Fury FC in the semifinal.
Will the 'Caps hand the reins to Tornaghi once again, or will star 'keeper David Ousted be asked to man the net with everything on the line, as was the case last year?
Toronto FC manager Greg Vanney might not have the same luxury after seeing his starter Clint Irwin leave their match versus Orlando City SC last Saturday with a quad injury. Irwin recorded a shutout in the first leg against Vancouver but did not travel with the team out west.
Backup Alex Bono came on for Irwin against Orlando, allowing two goals - one on a Kaka penalty game-winner in added time.
STARS ON THE BIG STAGE
Defending MLS Most Valuable Player Sebastian Giovinco took the league by storm last season, and will look to extend his reign to the Amway Canadian Championship.
For the 'Caps, all eyes will be on Morales, who already has a goal and an assist in the 2016 Canadian Championship. The two Designated Players will likely need their imprint on the match for their respective sides to win.
Who will shine on the big stage?
