Canucks Recall Victor Oreskovich

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, today announced they have recalled forward Victor Oreskovich.

Oreskovich, 24, has appeared in 34 games for the Moose this season with 11 points (4g, 7a) and 31 penalty minutes. Oreskovich scored in his first game with the Moose on Oct. 8/10 @ Peoria. He recently missed 15 games with an upper body injury but recorded two assists in his first game back in the lineup on Feb. 4 @ Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. The Whitby, ON native was recalled by the Canucks earlier this season on Feb. 10/11 and played in eight games, recording one assist and two penalty minutes. In his pro career, Oreskovich has played 58 NHL games with Vancouver and Florida in which he has recorded seven points (2g, 5a) and 28 penalty minutes. He has played in 68 career AHL games with Rochester and Manitoba where he has 26 points (10g, 16a) and 49 penalty minutes. Oreskovich was originally drafted by Colorado in the second round, 55th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
