PROMOTIONS/EVENTS

Single Game Playoff Tickets: Single game tickets for the 2016 WHL Playoffs will go on sale Saturday, March 19th at 10:00am to the General Public. Tickets for home games one and two will be available. Tickets can be purchased through the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre or by calling (403) 329-SEAT (7328).

Season Ticket & Playoff Packages: Season ticket and playoff packages now available! Confirm your 2016-2017 season tickets now and receive special 2016 playoff package pricing. For more details, contact the Hurricanes Office or the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre.

Fan Bus: The Hurricanes will be holding two more Fan Buses this season. The 'Canes will have a Fan Bus to Red Deer on March 12th for $65.00 and a bus to Medicine Hat on March 19th for the season finale for $60.00. The Hurricanes Fan Buses are powered by Carefree Express.

Next Home Game: The Hurricanes next home game will be Friday, March 11th when they welcome the Red Deer Rebels at the ENMAX Centre. The 'Canes only have three regular season home games left including Sunday, March 13th versus Edmonton and Friday, March 18th against the Medicine Hat Tigers.

Get Your Tickets: The Lethbridge Hurricanes want to remind you to get your tickets early! Tickets are available by calling (403) 329-7328 or by visiting the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre or the Ticket Centre at the Yates Theatre. Also, a reminder to use all three entrances to the arena - the third is located on SW corner by Section SS.

THE WEEK THAT WAS

Wednesday, February 24th - 9-8 SO Loss vs. Regina: It was one of the wildest games you'll ever see. The Hurricanes fell behind 5-1 in the first period but battled back eventually falling 9-8 in a shootout to the Pats. The line of Tyler Wong, Colton Kroeker and Brayden Burke combined for 16 points in the game.

Friday, February 26th - 5-2 Loss vs. Brandon: The Hurricanes welcomed the Wheat Kings in an Eastern Conference showdown. The 'Canes led the game 2-1 heading into the third period but four unanswered goals in the final twenty minutes helped the Wheaties dethrone the 'Canes of first in the Conference.

Saturday, February 27th - 8-4 Win vs. Edmonton: For the second time in three games, the Hurricanes lit the lamp eight times en route to an 8-4 victory over the Oil Kings. Drayton Thunder Chief made his WHL debut for the Hurricanes and earned an assist in the game. The win snapped a five game losing streak for the Hurricanes as they wrapped up a three game home stand.

THIS WEEK'S GAME SCHEDULE

Wednesday, March 2nd - 6:00pm at Moose Jaw: The Hurricanes kick off a four game road trip on Wednesday when they visit the Moose Jaw Warriors for the final time this year. The 'Canes lead the season series 2-1-0-0, but the home team has won all three games this season.

Friday, March 4th - 6:00pm at Saskatoon: The Hurricanes continue their final Saskatchewan road trip on Friday when they visit the Saskatoon Blades. The Hurricanes will look for the season sweep. The 'Canes have won seven straight games against Saskatoon dating back to last season.

Saturday, March 5th - 6:00pm at Prince Albert: It's the final meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and Raiders on Saturday. The 'Canes lead the season series 2-1-0-0 on the year. The 'Canes have won two straight against PA, including a 5-4 win in Prince Albert in mid-December.

NEWS & NOTES

Thunder Struck: Local product Drayton Thunder Chief made his WHL debut on Saturday night against the Edmonton Oil Kings. The 17-year-old, who played for the Lethbridge Hurricanes Midget AAA this season, picked up an assist in his 'Canes debut.

Slump Bumped: With a big 8-4 win on Saturday against the Oil Kings, the Hurricanes snapped a season- long five game losing streak. The 'Canes has seven different multi-point players. They were led by Tyler Wong and Ryley Lindgren who each had a goal and two assists.

Finding The Net: Despite only winning one of the games, the 'Canes have found their scoring touch again. In two of their last three games the 'Canes have scored eight goals. They've scored 18 goals in their last three games, an average of six goals per game.
