Canadiens Assign Dustin Boyd to Bulldogs

MONTREAL, QC - The Montreal Canadiens announced today that centre Dustin Boyd has been assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs from the Canadiens.

Boyd, 24, has appeared in 10 games with Montreal this season recording a goal and two penalty minutes. In 220 career NHL games, the 6-foot, 198-pound centre has collected 63 points (32 goals, 31 assists) and 41 penalty minutes. The native of Winnipeg, Manitoba has also played in 89 career AHL games recording 71 points (31 goals, 40 assists) and 40 penalty minutes. Boyd was originally drafted by the Calgary Flames in the 3rd round, 98th overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and was signed as a free agent by the Canadiens on July 1, 2010.

The 'Dogs begin a five-game road trip on Friday, December 17th when they travel to Oklahoma City to battle the Barons for a 7:05 p.m. EST match-up. All regular season Hamilton Bulldogs broadcasts on AM 820 CHAM will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
