Canadians Drop Ninth In A Row After 6-1 Loss

Everett, WA- A two-run home run off the bat of Everett's Dimas Ojeda in the bottom of the 5th inning proved to be the winning hit as Vancouver's offense was limited to just one run on six hits as the Aquasox completed a three-game sweep of the Canadians with a 6-1 win on Thursday night.
Vancouver's lone run came in response to the two-run blast as in the top of the 6th inning Jacob Anderson hit an RBI single that scored Cavan Biggio to make it a 2-1 game.
From there, it was all Everett who tacked on a run in the bottom of the 6th inning before exploding for three more in the bottom of the 8th to seal the victory as Johmbeyker Morales hit a bases clearing triple to make the final 6-1.
Aquasox starter Matt Festa took the win (3-2) while Vancouver reliever Gabriel Noyalis (0-1) suffered his first decision of the season.
Notes: The loss is Vancouver's ninth in a row, tying a franchise record that was set last season (Aug 5-13)... OF Rodrigo Orozco went 2-for-4 in the losing cause the bump his average to .255 on the season... 2B Cavan Biggio (.279) went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored... Toronto Blue Jays 1st Round Selection RHP T.J. Zeuch went three scoreless innings allowing just one hit and striking out one... Blue Jays 3rd Round Pick RHP Zach Jackson went a lone inning, walking one and striking out one.
With the loss, Vancouver (16-25) falls to 0-3 (.000) on the second half of the season while Everett (21-20) improves to 3-0. The Aquasox are now 5-1 (.833) vs. Vancouver in head-to-head play this season.
