Calgary, AB - Mason Shaw and Chad Butcher scored two goals each to lead the Medicine Hat Tigers to a 7-2 victory over the Calgary Hitmen on Friday night at Canalta Centre.
The win was the fifth straight for the Tigers over Calgary dating back to last season.
David Quenneville, Matt Bradley and Max Gerlach also scored for the home side who built period leads of 2-1 and 5-1.
Jakob Stukel and Matteo Gennaro replied for Calgary with Gennaro extending his point scoring streak to three games.
The Tigers, who improve to 6-3 on the season, outshot the Hitmen 39-24.
The Hitmen will now return to the Scotiabank Saddledome to host the Moose Jaw Warriors at 2:00 p.m. on Oct. 16 in this season's first Sunday Funday, presented by Pocky. Starting this weekend, all 10 Sunday regular season home games will feature a special child ticket priced at $7.99 (plus applicable fees), face painters, balloon artists, concourse activities and a post-game family skate.
Calgary Hitmen season tickets for the 2016-17 campaign are available at the Scotiabank Saddledome box office or by calling 403-777-4646. Packages include complimentary tickets to the first two Hitmen home playoff games along with game day savings vouchers for concessions, tickets and merchandise. They also feature a flexible exchange program where any Hitmen regular season ticket can be exchanged for another game during the same season.
