Calgary, AB - Steven Owre scored twice and added an assist to lead the Medicine Hat Tigers to a 5-4 victory over the Calgary Hitmen on Friday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Brad Forrest, Tyler Preziuso and Mason Shaw added singles for the top team in the Central Division which built period leads of 3-1 and 5-3.

Jakob Stukel and Andrei Grishakov both scored twice for the Hitmen who suffered their first regulation loss in six games. Jake Bean added an assist for his 100th career helper in the Western Hockey League.

Calgary outshot Medicine Hat 40-30 with Calgary Flames prospect Nick Schneider making 36 saves to record his ninth consecutive win against the Hitmen.

Calgary went 1-3 on the power play. Medicine Hat was 0-2.

The Hitmen, 23-27-8-2, head to Red Deer on Saturday, Feb. 25, for the first of a home-and-home set with the Rebels. The return match is the next day on Feb. 26 in a 4:00 p.m. start at the 'Dome. It's Sunday Funday, presented by Pocky, featuring carnival activities on the concourse and a post-game family skate. All skaters under the age of 18 must wear a helmet.
