Calgary, AB - Brayden Pachal (puh-haul) scored 1:52 into overtime to lift the Prince Albert Raiders to a 3-2 road victory against the Calgary Hitmen on Sunday afternoon at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Matteo Gennaro forced extra time for Calgary, netting the equalizer with 46 seconds remaining. The marker extended Gennaro's goal-scoring streak to six games. The Winnipeg Jets prospect has now found the back of the net in 11 of his last 12 games. He has a team-leading 29 on the season.
Jakob Stukel also scored for Calgary which erased a 2-0 second period deficit.
Jordy Stallard and Kolten Olynek rounded out the Prince Albert scoring, helping the Raiders to their season-high third win in a row.
Calgary outshot Prince Albert 32-25.
The Hitmen, 17-21-6-2, will enjoy a four-day break before embarking on another grueling three-in-three weekend. It all begins Friday, Jan. 27, when they welcome the CHL's top-ranked Regina Pats to the Scotiabank Saddledome for a 7:00 p.m. start. It's then off to Cranbrook for a date with the Kootenay ICE on Saturday, Jan. 28, before returning home to host Nolan Patrick and the Brandon Wheat Kings in a 4:00 p.m. puck drop on Sunday, Jan. 29. All three games will be broadcast on Sportsnet 960-The Fan.
