Calgary, AB - Goaltender Tyler Brown made 41 saves to backstop the Regina Pats to a 5-2 victory over the Calgary Hitmen on Tuesday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
The win gives the Pats a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven Round 1 Western Hockey League playoff series.
Anaheim Ducks prospect Sam Steel led the Pats with a hat-trick and now has a league-leading nine points in the series. Wyatt Sloboshan and Dawson Leedahl also scored for Regina, which dating back to the regular season is riding an 11-game winning streak.
Matteo Gennaro and Luke Coleman responded for Calgary as the Hitmen outshot the visitors 43-34.
The series resumes with Game 4 on Thursday, March 30 at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Game time for Hitmen PURE Playoffs presented by Pocky is 7:00 p.m.
