Calgary Hitmen Grad Kris Foucault Signs with Minnesota Wild

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club would like to congratulate graduating forward Kris Foucault (FOO-COE) on signing a three year entry level contract with the Minnesota Wild.

Foucault, a 2009 WHL trade deadline acquisition from the Kootenay Ice, spent two and a half seasons with the Hitmen. The gifted sniper burst onto the '09 playoff scene taking home Eastern Conference Playoff MVP honors by racking up 10 goals in 10 games helping the Hitmen win the Eastern Conference Title. A year later, Foucault had 16 points in 23 post season games helping the Hitmen win the Ed Chynoweth Cup as Western Hockey League Champions.

"We're very excited for Kris as today marks the start of his pro career," said Hitmen General Manager, Executive Vice President and Alternate Governor Kelly Kisio. "During his time with the Hitmen Kris not only demonstrated a high skill level but also a proved to be a great teammate."

Foucault was a fourth round pick of the Minnesota Wild (103rd overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
