Calgary, AB - The Spokane Chiefs erased a 4-2 third period deficit to defeat the Calgary Hitmen 6-4 on Tuesday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Eli Zummack broke a 4-4 tie netting the game winner with 2:20 remaining. Riley Woods added an empty net marker to seal the victory for the Chiefs who also received goals from Zach Fischer, Hudson Elyniuk, Nolan Reid and Riley McKay. Reid added three assists to lead Spokane with four points.

Matteo Gennaro scored twice for Calgary to take over the team goal-scoring lead with eight on the season. Andrei Grishakov and Cael Zimmerman added singles while Jake Bean chipped in a pair of assists.

Spokane outshot the Hitmen 38-34 including 17-8 in the final period.

Calgary was 2-5 on the power play while the Chiefs went 3-6.

The Hitmen head Lethbridge for a date with the Hurricanes on Friday, Oct. 27, before returning home to host the defending WHL champion Seattle Thunderbirds on Saturday, Oct. 28, in a 7:00 p.m. puck drop at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Saturday's contest is WHL Suits Up with Don Cherry to Promote Organ Donation - Presented by RE/MAX. The league-wide initiative promotes the importance of organ donation and generates further support of The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
