May 26, 2016 - Eastern League (EL1)
Trenton Thunder News Release

The Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, have three roster moves to announce prior to Thursday morning's ballgame against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats:

Add: C Sebastian Valle from Triple-A SWB (No. 52)Delete: C Kyle Higashioka to Triple-A SWB

Delete: INF Alex Rodriguez transferred from Rehab Assignment to New York Yankees

Higashioka returned to the Thunder to begin the season for the first time since suffering a right elbow injury in 2013. In 32 games with Trenton prior to his promotion, the former 8th-Round pick batted .286 (32-for-112) with 9 2B, 2 HR and 19 RBI. His promotion comes at a point when he had extended his hitting streak to a season-high six games (10-for-24, .417 AVG, 3 2B, 6 RBI). When Higashioka first appears for the RailRiders it will be his Triple-A debut.

Valle was transferred to the Scranton roster prior to Wednesday's game but did not appear in the contest.

The moves keep the Thunder active roster at the Eastern League maximum of 25 players.
