BV Bombers Brazos Valley Continues to Build Their Roster

Bryan-College Station, Texas - The Brazos Valley Bombers are excited to announce that they have added Clayton Hill and Allonte Wingate to the roster.

Clayton Hill is currently in his freshman campaign at Angelina College. The right-hander has appeared in 15 games this season and has a 1-0 record with a 2.05 ERA. In 31 innings, Hill has allowed just seven earned runs and struck out 21 batters. Hill has two relief appearances where he pitched five innings in those matches. Hill allowed a total of five hits, one run and struck out six while allowing zero free passes. Hill is from Lufkin, Texas.

Allonte Wingate is in his sophomore se

ason at Cisco College and he is having a phenomenal year at the plate. Wingate leads the team in at-bats (197), runs scored (51), hits (69), RBI (45), walks (41) and on-base percentage (.478). Wingate has a .350 batting average with a home run, 12 doubles and eight stolen bases. Wingate had a 5 RBI game against Wayland Baptist on February 1st and had a perfect 4-for-4 day at the plate against Howard Payne on April 10th. The shortstop is from Beaumont, Texas.

The Bombers season opener is rapidly approaching as they take on the Acadiana Cane Cutters on Friday, May 26th.

The home opener at the newly renovated Nutrabolt Stadium will be on Thursday, June 1st as the four-time TCL Champion Brazos Valley Bombers host the Texas Marshals.
