BV Bombers Brazos Valley Bombers Snag Three Solid

Bryan-College Station, Texas (March 27, 2017)- The Brazos Valley Bombers continue to beef up their roster for the upcoming season as they added three outfielders to the fold today. Two of the new additions come from the West Coast while one is from Texas.

Dalton Stark is from Cypress, Texas and is currently roaming the outfield for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Stark is a junior and has started every game this season for the Islanders. Stark is leading the team with eight doubles and is second in RBIs with 16. Overall, he is batting .286 and only has one error in the outfield.

The West Coast additions come from two different schools: Chase Calabuig plays for San Diego State while Blake Clanton comes from the Pac-12 Washington State Cougars.

Chase Calabuig is from Mission Viejo, California and is a junior for the Aztecs. In 2015, Calabuig earned freshman All-America honors playing right field for San Diego State. Calabuig batted .320 that year for the Aztecs with a .417 on-base percentage. Calabuig currently is batting .253 this season with five doubles, two triples, two home runs and 12 runs scored while playing all three outfield positions.

Blake Clanton is originally from Clinton, Oklahoma and played junior college ball at Western Oklahoma State College before joining the Cougars. While at Western Oklahoma State, Clanton was named the NJCAA Division II Region II Most Valuable Player his sophomore year. In that 2016 season, Blake had a .373 batting average with 19 homers, 70 RBIs and 73 runs scored. Clanton has started nine games this season for Washington State and has one home run, five RBIs and six runs scored on the year.
