April 2, 2013 - North American Hockey League (NAHL) - Amarillo Bulls
AMARILLO, TX - There will be several North American Hockey League Alumni but no Amarillo Bulls at the NCAA Division I Frozen Four when it takes place next weekend in Pittsburgh.
Cody Freeman and Canisius College were eliminated in the NCAA East Regional Semi-Final by the No. 1 Seed Quinnipiac 4-3 this past Saturday night. Freeman did not figure in any of the scoring during the loss in which Canisius College surrendered a 3-1 lead with three goals in the final nine minutes.
It was an exciting year for Freeman who had 12 goals and eight assists for 20 points in 28 games. Three of his goals were game winners.
Two players that Amarillo Bulls' fans are familiar with will lead UMass-Lowell in the National Semi-Final against Yale. Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck who played for the Odessa Jackalopes and Adam Chapie who suited up for the former New Mexico Mustangs have played well for the Riverhawks in the tournament.
