Bulldogs to welcome two millionth fan

March 8, 2005 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hamilton Bulldogs News Release

The Hamilton Bulldogs are very excited to announce that the hockey club is expecting to welcome it's 'Two Millionth Fan' to a Bulldogs' home game on Wednesday, March 30th at 7:00 p.m. when the Bulldogs play host to the Manitoba Moose at Copps Coliseum.

"To realize that there have been 2,000,000 visits to downtown Hamilton over the past nine seasons to watch Bulldogs hockey is an impressive sign for those that thought the team would not survive in our city," said Brian Lewis, Bulldogs' Executive Director of Operations. "With the potential setting of record attendance numbers this season, along with our preparations for the 10th Anniversary Season in the fall, the community has responded and it is only appropriate that we recognize this accomplishment."

To commemorate the 'Two Millionth Fan', the Bulldogs will be giving away $20,000 worth in prizing to fans in attendance at the March 30th game between the Bulldogs and Moose.

Through 29 home games this season, the Bulldogs have welcomed 165,648 fans to Copps Coliseum. The Bulldogs currently have an average attendance of 5,712 fans per game, which is 11th best out of 28 teams in the AHL.

Fans can purchase tickets for all Bulldogs home games at the Copps Coliseum Box Office, at all Ticketmaster outlets, by calling Ticketmaster at (905) 527-7666 or online at www.ticketmaster.ca.
