Bulldogs Recall Joe Stejskal and Daultan Leveille

HAMILTON, ONT - Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today that the Club has recalled defenceman Joe Stejskal and forward Daultan Leveille from the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL.

Stejskal, 24, played four games for the Bulldogs this season recording two assists and two penalty minutes while also playing 26 games for the Nailers this season registering four assists and 19 penalty minutes. The native of Grand Rapids, Minnesota played 55 games for the Bulldogs during the 2011-2012 regular season recording three assists and 26 penalty minutes. Over three seasons in the American Hockey League with Hamilton, Stejskal has posted five assists and 28 penalty minutes in 66 regular season games. Stejskal played four seasons for Dartmouth College of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference where he registered 32 points (15 goals, 17 assists) and 162 penalty minutes in 126 regular season games. The 6'3", 208-pound defenceman was named an ECAC Third-Team All-Star in 2010-2011 while being named to the ECAC All-Academic Team in 2008-2009. Stejskal was originally selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the fifth round, 133rd overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Leveille, 22, has played 25 games for the Nailers this season notching seven points (4 goals, 3 assists) and six penalty minutes. Leveille played four seasons with Michigan State University of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association recording 69 points (26 goals, 43 assists) and 50 penalty minutes in 131 regular season games. In 2008-2009 as a rookie with Michigan State, Leveille was second in team scoring with 17 points (nine goals, eight assists) while also being an Honourable Mention selection to the CCHA All-Rookie Team. The native of St. Catharines, Ontario played two seasons with the St. Catharines Falcons of the Golden Horseshoe Jr. "B" Hockey League / Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League from 2006-2008. In 93 games, the 6'0", 175-pound centre had 101 points (48 goals, 53 assists) and 38 penalty minutes. Leveille was originally selected by the Atlanta Thrashers in the first round, 29th overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

The Bulldogs' next game is against the Toronto Marlies at Copps Coliseum at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8th. All 'Dogs games during the month of January will be broadcast on Hamilton's Funny 820 (AM 820), with select games simulcast on Montreal's TSN Radio 690 (AM 690). The game will also be telecast on TVA Sports. Fans can also listen to and watch all 'Dogs games on www.hamiltonbulldogs.com.
