Bulldogs Lose 3-2 in Kingston

November 19, 2017 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL) - Brantford Bulldogs News Release

HAMILTON, ONTARIO. The Hamilton Bulldogs 5-game winning streak came to an end Friday night in Kingston with a hard fought 3-2 loss to the Frontenacs.

The Fronteancs got a break to take a 1-0 lead at 7:14 of the 1st period as the Bulldogs gave up the puck in their own zone.

Things started to heat up in the 2nd period that featured two fights, several good scoring chances for both teams and even a goaltender switch as the Bulldogs Kaden Fulcher had to leave the game early because of a skate problem. The only thing missing was a goal as the Frontenacs held their 1-0 advantage after forty minutes.

Four goals were scored in a ten-minute span in the 3rd period starting at the 7-minute mark as Kingston went ahead 2-0. The Bulldogs Zachary Jackson (2) tipped home a perfect pass from Connor Roberts at 9:17 to cut the deficit to 2-1. The Frontenacs went back up by two at 10:50, before Matthew Strome (9) got to a rebound at 17:17 to make it a 3-2. However, the comeback came to an end as the Bulldogs Arthur Kaliyev was called for hooking late.

Hamilton is back in action Saturday afternoon at 2 pm as they face the 67's in Ottawa.
