Bulldogs Hosting Boots and Hearts Night this Friday

HAMILTON, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs will be holding their inaugural Boots and Hearts Night presented by KX 94-7 FM and the organizers of the Boots and Hearts Music Festival this Friday night when they host the St. John's IceCaps.

To kick things off, local country star Melissa Payne will be performing at the Molson Beer Garden on the concourse prior to the start of the game from 6:45-7:15 p.m. as well as performing the national anthem. Fans in attendance will have the chance to win a pair of passes for the Boots and Hearts Music Festival, being held August 1st - 4th in Bowmanville, Ontario. The prize package includes the Thursday night kick-off party, tent camping and V.I.P. passes with the privilege to meet backstage with one of the headline artists. The Bulldogs will also be giving away a round trip airfare, courtesy of Air Canada, for a fan and their guest during the first intermission as well as many other great prizes throughout the night. Friday is also our $3 beer night and doors will be opening at 6:15 p.m.

Boots and Hearts is the largest country music festival of its kind ever to be hosted on Canadian soil. It is a three-day celebration of music and art where music lovers of all genres can escape from the rigors of daily life, band together with thousands of other country music fans and experience a once-in-a-lifetime event that they will never forget. With more than 30 bands, ranging from global superstars to emerging artists, Boots and Hearts will offer an eclectic mix of country music styles. The Bulldogs' next game is against the St. John's IceCaps at Copps Coliseum on Friday, April 19th at 7:30 p.m. The game will air on Cable 14. All 'Dogs games will be broadcast on Hamilton's Funny 820 (AM 820). Fans can also listen to and watch all 'Dogs games on www.hamiltonbulldogs.com. Live coverage with the broadcast team of Play-By-Play Announcer Derek Wills (all home and away games) and Colour Commentator Al Craig (all home and select away games) will begin with the Pioneer Pre-Game Show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
