Buffalo Calls For Kaleta, Lojek Heads To Florida

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans General Manager Jody Gage announced today that the Buffalo Sabres have recalled right wing Patrick Kaleta and the Florida Panthers have recalled defenseman Martin Lojek.
This is the first recall of the season for Kaleta, who has four points (1+3) and 100 penalty minutes in 26 games for the Amerks.
The 2006-07 season was Kaleta's first as a pro, and he recorded 15 points (5+10) and 133 PIMs in 58 games with Rochester. He also picked up two points (0+2) during a seven-game recall with the Sabres from February 22-March 9, 2007.
A Buffalo native, the 21-year-old Kaleta was Buffalo's sixth-round selection (176th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
Lojek returns to the Panthers blueline for the second time this season. The 6-foot-0, 225 pound blueliner has appeared in 34 games with the Amerks, notching five points (3+2) and 36 PIMs. This season with the Panthers, the Brno, Czech Republic, native has skated in one game.
The 22-year-old Lojek was Florida's fourth-round selection (105th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
Rochester's three-game weekend begins with a visit from the Manchester Monarchs to The Blue Cross Arena on Friday, January 11th for the second and final scheduled meeting between the two teams this season. The 7:35 p.m. contest will be broadcast live on Hot Talk 1280 WHTK, whtk.com and B2 networks. The game will also be televised tape-delayed on Time Warner SportsNet Channel 26.
The game ushers in the next installment of the Amerks' Friday Night Frenzies. Fans can enjoy the live music from the Ozone Rangers in the lower lobby of The Blue Cross Arena until gametime. The contest also falls on Zweigle's Night. Fans can purchase four 200 Level End Seat tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and four magazines for $60.00. Packages can be purchased at The Blue Cross Arena Box Office or by calling the Amerks Office at 454-5335. Lastly, it's a AAA Discount Night. Fans who present their AAA membership card can receive 100 End Seating for just $10.00 ($16.00 regular) and 200 End Seating for $10.00 (regular $12.00).
Prior to the contest, the Amerks will hold a moment of silence in honor of Penfield native Andrew Dezio. Dezio, a 15-year-old sophomore at Penfield High School, was a member of the school's junior varsity hockey team as well as Perinton Youth Hockey. Dezio's body was found this morning by Monroe County Sheriffs after being reported missing on December 23rd.
