Buckland Named Equipment Manager for Team Canada at U18 Tournament

Sudbury Wolves Head Athletic Therapist and Equipment Manager will be travelling to Russia early next week with Canada's National Under-18 Team as they participate in the 2018 IIHF U18 World Championship. The tournament will take place in Chelyabinsk and Magnitogorsk, Russia from April 19- 29. Dan will meet up with Team Canada in Toronto Friday afternoon for their selection camp before they head to Russia on Tuesday.
"It's an honour to represent your country and work with such high caliber athletes," said Buckland. "I have to thank my wife and family as well as the Wolves' Organization for the support to do this. Luckily for my kids there is Facetime."
Dan will be responsible for all equipment requirements for the players during the tournament.
Dan has completed eleven seasons with the Wolves and has plenty of international experience with Hockey Canada with the U-17 and U-18 programs. He has also assisted with the Canada Russia Series four separate times.
The Sudbury Wolves would like to wish Dan and all of Team Canada the best of luck in the tournament as they compete for gold.
