Brodzinski Named CCM Forward of the Week

MADISON, WI - The Madison Capitols, a member of the United States Hockey League, was named CCM Forward of the Week for the USHL, the league announced on Monday.

Brodzinski, 20, collected his second hat trick of the season as he tallied all three goals in the first period of Friday's 4-0 shutout of the Chicago Steel at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The 6-foot-1, 191-pound native of Blaine, Minnesota, followed up Friday's performance with a goal and an assist in Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over the Dubuque Fighting Saints.

In eight games with the Capitols this season, Brodzinski has a team-leading 10 goals and ranks second on the roster with 12 points (10-212). He joined the Capitols via trade with the Fargo Force on October 25. Brodzinski was scoreless in eight games with Fargo.

In addition to Brodzinski being named CCM Forward of the Week, Des Moines Buccaneers' Mario Ferraro was named CCM Defenseman of the Week, and Fargo's Matthew Murray was named CCM Goaltender of the Week.

The Capitols travel to face-off with the Sioux City Musketeers at Tyson Events Center at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23.
