Boston, MA - Brittany Ott has signed a contract with the Boston Pride for the 2016-17 season, General Manager Hayley Moore announced Tuesday. Ott and the Pride agreed to terms on a one-year, $18,000 contract.

"Brittany proved herself to be the league's premier goaltender and showed some remarkable performances throughout the inaugural season," said Moore. "She is an exceptional teammate, and has the drive to challenge herself and continue to improve her game. We are thrilled to have her back!"

Ott led the league in goals against average (1.94), wins (13), and shutouts (1) in 2015-16. She finished the regular season with a 0.925 save percentage, and posted a 0.915 SV% and 1.85 GAA in the playoffs. Ott was voted Best Goaltender by the NWHL Writers' Group in the 2015 NWHL Awards.

"I am so excited to be a part of the Boston Pride for season two," said Ott. "We had an amazing group of players, support staff, and fans last year, and I cannot wait to step back out on the ice in a Pride uniform to see what new challenges and opportunities are ahead of us for next season."

Restricted free agency began April 1 and lasted until April 30. Free agency began May 1 and lasts until July 31. The 2016 NWHL Draft is June 18.
