Rome, GA -The Rome Braves defeated the Augusta Green Jackets 4-3 in front of 3,331 fans at State Mutual Stadium Saturday night. Rome improved to 9-7. Zeke Spruill goes six innings en route to the win. Spruill is now 10 - 0 in his professional career.

The GreenJackets scored the first run of the game in the first inning on an RBI single by Mike Loberg for the 1-0. In the third the Braves took the 3-1lead highlighted by an RBI single by Joel Campusano and an RBI double by Gerry Rodriguez who later came around to score when Stephen Shults hit into a fielder's choice.

Rome added an insurance run in the fifth on a Rodriguez solo home run making it a 4-1 game. Augusta scored two runs in the seventh on an RBI double by Johnny Monell and an RBI single by Dom Duggan, but it was not enough as the Braves bullpen was able to keep the 4-3 lead.

Zeke Spruill (3-0) gets the victory for the Braves while Mike Loree (1-2) was the losing pitcher for Augusta. Benino Pruneda recorded his sixth save of the season.
